Overview

Role: Assistant Director at Goodstart Early Learning. Location: Moulden, NT 0830. Centre: Goodstart Moulden – Temple Terrace. Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent. Pay: $ $66.09 p/h (Depending on qualification & experience) + NT Allowance + Super.

As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Moulden – Temple Terrace, you'll inspire and motivate the centre team, drive continuous improvement across operations, collaborate with the leadership team, build respectful relationships with families, and actively engage with local community networks.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Centre Director in leading the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
  • Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team
  • Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director's absence
  • Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide
  • Lead in the Nursery Room (0–2 years) with 2.5 – 3 hours per week of programming time for curriculum, with support from other team members
  • Off-the-floor time for administration and leadership tasks: 2 hours per week
  • Collaborate with the team to foster a positive, supportive team culture
  • Be a role model, demonstrating excellence in practice
  • Foster meaningful relationships with children, families and educators
About Goodstart Moulden – Temple Terrace

Goodstart Moulden – Temple Terrace is a 73-place centre on the lookout for an Assistant Director. It offers a welcoming and stimulating learning environment for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Our 73-place centre blends natural and manmade play spaces designed to foster environmental awareness, curiosity, and creativity.

Additional Opportunities and Team Leadership
  • Seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Director to join our team and take a hands-on leadership role, specifically in our Nursery Room (0–2 years)
  • Work closely with the Centre Director to oversee daily operations and provide support to Early Childhood Professionals
  • Lead in the Nursery Room with programming time and support from the team
  • Administration and leadership tasks off the floor
  • Team collaboration — share the workload and foster a positive, supportive team culture
  • Be a role model — demonstrate excellence in practice
  • A passion for fostering meaningful relationships with children, families, and educators
You'll Need
  • Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
  • Current NT Working with Children Check and First Aid qualification
  • Northern Territory – Registration not required (non-mandated)
