The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Lawyer with 1-3 years PQE to join our Commercial Dispute Resolution Team in our Campbelltown office. We are looking for an applicant who has a keen interest in this area of law and aspires to a long term career, with opportunities for progression, within our growing Commercial Dispute Resolution practice.

You will be given an opportunity to work in a fast paced environment with exposure to a diverse range of commercial and equity matters including building and construction disputes, corporate and share-holder disputes, contractual disputes, insolvency and bankruptcy matters, employment law and wills and estates litigation.

• be able to work in a team environment; and
• have effective time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities include:

• assisting solicitors with the conduct of matters across different jurisdictions including NCAT, Local Court, District Court and Supreme Court of NSW and Federal Court, including with;

-drafting court documents including Affidavits, Statements of Claim and Defences;

-attending client conferences, contested hearings and mediations; and

-prepare and collate briefs to Counsel and Court Books.

• preparation of draft advices to clients; and
• undertaking legal research.
