Our team is growing, and we are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Designer to join our team in our Brisbane office.

About the role

  • Prepare layouts and detail drawings in line with project requirements.
  • Deliver design drafting according to required project timeframes and standards, preparing design and detail drawings in line with requirements.
  • Overcome design / schedule issues by maintaining an overview of activity, communicating with the Lead Mechanical Engineer, and addressing issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and holding project members accountable for standards.
  • Comply with all of Ausenco's corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures, and requirements.

About you

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Bulk Materials Handling design drafting and plant layout, with experience in crushing, grinding, materials handling, flotation, CIL / CIP, slurry, pumping, slurry agitation, particle size classification, and separation, would be highly regarded.
  • Advanced diploma or equivalent in Engineering is desirable.
  • Experience with Advance Steel and S3D software is desired.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
