Psychiatrist - Older Persons Mental Health

Job description
This service provides expert mental health care to adults over the age of 65 years who are experiencing mental illness, dementia with behavioural or signs of longstanding mental illness complicated by age-related illness. The team offers both short-term and long-term mental health care.
Permanent part-time opportunity
This is one of the most rapidly evolving health services in the south-east corner, with community growth expected to almost double to more than 588,000 by 2036. Our vision is to develop a robust hospital and health service that includes fit-for-purpose spaces, interconnected buildings, multidisciplinary health services, research, education, and community partnerships.
Requirements :
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification, preferably also holding a Certificate of Advanced Training in Psychiatry of Old Age or accredited membership of the Faculty of Psychiatry of Old Age.
