The Opportunity:

As part of their ambitious growth plans, they are seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their friendly and solution-focused team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a senior member of their leadership team, responsible for overseeing the overall financial performance and management of the finance function. This role is both strategic and hands-on, ensuring our continuous improvement agenda is met through effective business systems and governance structures.

Key Responsibilities:


• Collaborate with the CEO on strategic business growth initiatives.

• Manage and develop financial strategies, compliance requirements, and controls.

• Deliver high-quality accounting services, including P&L reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.

• Work closely with the operations team to address manufacturing variances and improve performance.

• Provide financial insights for special projects and strategic initiatives, including market expansion and capital upgrades.

• Oversee the organisation's technology function and lead strategic IT projects.

• Partner with leaders across operations, quality, product development, and sales.

• Represent the managing director at industry events and strategic meetings as required.

About You:

To excel in this role, you will have:


• Extensive experience as a financial leader in a complex food processing / manufacturing environment.

• Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of driving profitable business growth.

• A passion for innovation, strategic profitability, and working in a fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on developing high-performing teams and workplace culture.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity and deliver outcomes.

• A tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, law, commerce, business, or a related discipline is essential; post-graduate studies are desirable.
