  • 36.78 / hour (base rate) overtime paid at penalty rates

About our client

Our client is the original supplier of steel reinforcement to the Australian construction industry. Proudly Australian since 1920, all of their steel products remain 100% Australian made with international quality assurance and compliance with Australian standards.

What you will be doing

They are currently seeking a Factory Hand, to join their team out of their Ballina yard. This is a Monday to Friday position commencing at 7am working 8-hour days. You will be trained and responsible for the following duties;

  • Welding steel
  • Loading steel onto trucks using the forklift
  • Loading steel onto pallets
  • Packing products (mainly steel) as per an order sheet
  • Operate machines to manufacture reinforcing bars
  • Maintain cleanliness of the factory

The successful candidate will be required to pass a drug and alcohol screening.

  • Drivers Licence + reliable transport
  • High Risk Forklift Ticket (desirable but not mandatory)
  • Physically Fit
  • Ability to pass a PEM / D&A
