Neurology Senior Specialist

General & Speciality Medicine Department

Grampians Health Ballarat has an opportunity to join our Neurology team. This role involves participating in ward service roster, including covering acute stroke calls (when onward service), participating in the EEG reporting service, and attending weekly Neurology outpatient clinics.

About The Role

Join our Neurology team at Grampians Health Ballarat. Responsibilities include ward service participation, covering acute stroke calls, EEG reporting, and outpatient clinic attendance.

About You

You should be experienced in Neurology and interested in contributing to a large regional tertiary referral hub. The role offers opportunities in teaching and professional development of Interns, HMOs, and Registrars. As a consultant physician, you will work within your scope of practice under the Grampians Health Credentialing Committee and report to the Clinical Director of Medical Services.

General Medicine & Speciality Team

The teams are part of Internal Medicine within the Hospitals Directorate, managing approximately 120 inpatients daily across two campuses. The service oversees gastroenterology, endocrinology, neurology, rheumatology, perioperative, and obstetric medicine, with additional specialized units providing weekday and on-call services. Support services include geriatrics, palliative care, rehabilitation, and hospital-in-the-home programs.
