The BI Developer Analytics Development is responsible for designing and building data reporting, dashboards, and analytics capabilities. This role focuses on developing tools, systems, and processes that support effective analysis and deliver reliable reporting solutions, enabling AV to enhance performance, improve efficiency, and achieve its strategic objectives.
This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Blackburn North in line with our hybrid working model.
About The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:
- Support the development of complex reports, dashboard, or analysis relating to relevant aspects of AV operations and activities
- Support the team with User Acceptance Testing, in collaboration with the broader Analytics Development Team and BTP functions
- Support the development of the Power BI materialised views and the data flows
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify and document operational problems and underlying issues, identifying possible cause and effect relationships
- Consider and identify risks, trends, impediments and opportunities for standard reporting, self-service dashboards and analytical projects, developing and implementing strategies to address them
- Provide Power BI development expertise to enable the delivery of insights to the organisation
To be considered for this position you will possess a degree or relevant industry certification with proven subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Other requirements include:
- Experience developing analytical products such as reports, dashboards, visualisations, and algorithms for a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience in data warehouse, business intelligence implementation and deployment of organisation wide reports and dashboards
- Experience working with, and analysis of, very large and complex data sets
- Demonstrated lateral thinking skills, with ability to identify issues and proactively problem solve and the judgement to determine appropriate courses of action
