PositionCoordinator Parks Maintenance – manage a skilled team responsible for maintaining park assets including footpaths, lighting, playgrounds, seawalls, irrigation systems, and recreational facilities. You will work closely with the Parks and Streetscape unit to deliver high-quality service and support strategic planning and capital works.
Key responsibilities- Lead and coordinate maintenance of hard infrastructure in parks and open spaces.
- Oversee inspections, audits, and repairs of assets including playgrounds, pathways, lighting, and waterplay parks.
- Collaborate on asset management plans and provide input on design development.
- Manage contractors and consultants to ensure service delivery standards are met.
- Promote a culture of safety, diversity, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies.
- Enhance digital capability and service delivery through technology.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or significant equivalent industry experience in the maintenance of hard infrastructure in parks and open space.
- Experience leading and managing a customer-focused team.
- Demonstrated financial and budget management, procurement, and contract management experience.
- Experience in contract administration and contractor supervision.
- Knowledge of equity and diversity principles, work health and safety, ethical practice and probity at all times.
- Understanding of or experience with the Australian Business Excellence framework or improvement initiatives/continuous improvement.
- Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
- Salary: $105, $116, Civil Liability Allowance (if applicable) + Access to Motor Vehicle Lease Back + 12% Superannuation.
