The TeamThe Specialist Palliative Care Team is a dynamic multidisciplinary team servicing the North West of Tasmania. As a multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing and allied health, we support patients and their families in the community on their palliative journey, as well as clinicians within the Acute RACF and Community settings with clinical knowledge support and guidance. The team works closely together to achieve excellence in healthcare and improved outcomes for our consumers.
The RoleAs an educator for the SPCS team, you will support the learning of the team, delivering expert support in the field of nursing and palliative care. For further details please refer to the statement of duties.
You will need- Hold or be working towards postgraduate qualification in palliative care (desirable)
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (desirable)
- Fixed term full time, day worker position, up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 24 March 2025 until 27 March 2026 (hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant)
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies
- Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Employer 12% superannuation contribution on top of this amount.
- Salary packaging: access to a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year, plus other eligible benefits.
- Allowances: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type, other applicable allowances may be available.
- Travel and relocation assistance up to $15,000 for eligible overseas appointees, and up to $10,000 for interstate appointees.
- Professional development and accelerated pathways; study leave and Professional Development Support; Fitness Passport program (40+ facilities across Tasmania).
- Essential: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Essential: Current Driver's Licence
- Desirable: Holds or is working towards relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification in specialised palliative care management with community experience
- Desirable: Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
