At Atlassian, we're looking for talented Developers to join one of our Sydney engineering teams (e.g., Jira Server, Jira Cloud, Growth). Our engineering team shapes the future by helping thousands of teams worldwide get work done. We emphasize learning and growth, with opportunities to develop expertise across one or more tech stacks while becoming proficient in your chosen areas.

Responsibilities
  • Drive projects independently, from technical design to launch
  • Apply architectural standards and start using them on new projects
  • Contribute to code reviews and documentation and tackle complex bug fixes
  • Begin writing useful technical documentation and learn/code in Java
Qualifications

In this role, you'll get the chance to:

  • Demonstrate ability to learn and adapt to new technologies; coding during interviews can be done in the language you are strongest in
  • Collaborate with teammates and tackle hard problems; show a real appetite for learning and growth as a developer
  • Experience with a prominent language such as Java, Python, C#, C/C++, or Ruby is valuable
On Day One
  • You will not be required to know a specific programming language, however experience with a prominent language such as Java, Python, C#, C/C++, or Ruby is crucial.
  • Deep understanding of data structures and how to apply them to solve problems
  • Passion for collaborating and asking questions
  • Strong desire to learn and grow as a developer and teammate
