• Description

The eLearning Engagement and Support Officer (EESO) is a campus-based specialist in digital learning and educational technology, providing hands-on support to academic staff and students. The role aims to enhance the digital learning experience by offering real-time assistance with the Learning Management System (LMS), classroom technologies, and online learning tools.

This role supports multiple campuses, ensuring a consistent experience nationwide.

Working closely with Campus Operations Managers and the Campus Operations Coordinator, the EESO helps resolve technology-related issues such as AV equipment, projection, audio, and LMS access. The role also involves conducting training workshops for academic staff and gathering feedback on digital learning challenges to inform continuous improvement efforts.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Providing real-time support for teaching staff using the LMS and classroom technologies.
2. Offering guidance and troubleshooting assistance to students engaging with online learning tools.
3. Collaborating with Campus Operations Managers and Coordinators to resolve hardware and software issues, including AV, projection, audio, device compatibility, and LMS access.
4. Facilitating academic staff development workshops in partnership with the eLearning team.
5. Collecting feedback on digital learning barriers at the campus level and escalating systemic issues for resolution.
6. Adhering to workplace health and safety policies relevant to eLearning and Campus Operations environments.
7. Identifying and reporting risks or incidents related to digital or physical learning technologies.
8. Participating in safety reviews when working with classroom or AV equipment.

Qualifications

1. Experience supporting academic staff or students with learning technologies (e.g., LMS, AV systems, educational software).
2. Proficiency in using and managing Moodle.
3. Strong troubleshooting skills across digital tools and classroom technology environments.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive, service-oriented approach.
5. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
6. Relevant qualifications in Educational Technology, Information Management, or a related field.
7. Experience conducting training or onboarding sessions for staff or students.
8. Understanding of instructional design and online student engagement strategies.
9. Experience gathering and reporting feedback to improve support services or systems.
