About the Centre :
We are seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to join our established and multicultural practice at Eastbrooke Medical Centre in Carlton. Located across from Carlton train station, our clinic is well established with a passionate and large support staff team. We provide a collaborative work environment with full training and support from nurses and our practice manager.
This role is ideal for a passionate, diligent, and vibrant individual who values customer service and patient care, enjoys teamwork, is adaptable, and seeks variety in their role. More about our centre can be found here.
The Opportunity :
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity at Eastbrooke Medical Centre in Carlton for Medical Receptionists seeking permanent part-time work:
- Work across both general practice and Medicare Urgent Care clinic
- Join a friendly, fun, and dedicated team
- Meet and greet patients, providing a positive first impression
- Book and amend appointments, answer calls, update patient records
- Support the Practice Manager and clinical team to ensure smooth operations
- Process payments via EFTPOS, HICAPS, and Medicare
- Handle sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality
- Provide high-quality patient care and build relationships with clients in a friendly manner
You'll be :
Our Receptionists come from diverse backgrounds and experiences. To succeed, you should:
- Be available to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with flexibility to cover additional shifts on weekends and public holidays
- Have previous Medical Reception experience (highly regarded)
- Be familiar with Best Practice software (training provided)
- Be a motivated self-starter in a fast-paced environment
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be passionate about customer service and patient care
- Be organized and detail-oriented
- Build rapport with patients in a cheerful, friendly manner
