
Incident Operations Lead/ Business Analyst

We're on the lookout for an experienced Incident Operations Lead to join our client in superannuation industry.
04th August, 2025About the Role:
The successful candidate will oversee the incident and issue management processes—many of which are historical in nature—and will be responsible for ensuring the timely identification, recording, and resolution of incidents. This includes coordination across a broad stakeholder base, including up to 15–20 individuals from across both the Fund and the Administrator.
This role is ideal for someone with project management or business analysis experience, strong coordination skills, and a background in incident or issue management in the financial services sector.
Duration:This is a 6 month contract.
Location:Candidates can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney (Remote work option is available).
Work Arrangements:Hybrid/ Remote
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of incident response activities, coordinating across business units to investigate, analyse, and remediate incidents.
- Manage and track progress of incident resolution, ensuring timely closure and escalation of risks or delays to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and help drive down incident volume.
- Support and maintain the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system, ensuring data accuracy and performing quality assurance checks.
- Conduct trend analysis and prepare regular reporting for senior stakeholders on incident patterns and performance against targets.
- Coordinate and engage a large stakeholder group (internal squad plus 15–20 others) involved in incident management workflows.
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, with a solid understanding of risk, compliance, and incident management in superannuation or the broader financial services sector.
- Experience in coordinating cross-functional activities or projects, including stakeholder engagement and reporting.
- Strong familiarity with GRC systems and incident management frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of interpreting complex data and identifying trends.
- High attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline.
- Previous experience in incident remediation or issue management roles within superannuation.
- Familiarity with automated workflows, reporting, and dashboards in GRC systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
