Splice-Tech and Macks Rubber, innovative leaders in technology and manufacturing, are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Group Accountant / CFO to steer our financial strategy and drive sustainable growth. As a key partner to the CEO, you'll take ownership of the finance function, delivering strategic insights, robust reporting, and operational excellence to support our ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage statutory obligations, including BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, and Workers Compensation returns.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end financial close processes with precision.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial and KPI reports to guide decision-making.
  • Prepare quarterly board reports to communicate financial performance and strategy.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits, serving as the primary liaison with auditors.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic goals.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and assist with insurance management.
  • Inventory management, and continuous improvement of financial systems.
  • Conduct monthly internal quality audits to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Strengthen internal controls and optimise financial processes for scalability.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, efficient and cost management.
  • Identify and manage financial, operational and market risks.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, commerce finance, or a related field.
  • CA or CPA qualification (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar accounting or finance leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software or ERP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for complex financial analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • A commercially savvy finance professional with 5+ years of experience in finance management, ideally in services or project-based industries.
  • A trusted advisor with a knack for translating financial data into actionable business insights.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about driving process improvements.
  • A collaborative team player who can build strong relationships across the organisation.
