Overview

Are you passionate about embedding strong risk culture and compliance frameworks into operational processes? NTI is looking for a Claims Operations Risk & Compliance Specialist to drive our 1st line risk and compliance initiatives across our Claims Operations department. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for operational risk and compliance matters — helping to shape policies, processes, and controls that meet regulatory obligations and improve business outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the integration of compliance obligations into day-to-day claims operations
  • Develop and oversee risk management processes and internal control frameworks
  • Identify, monitor, and address control gaps and weaknesses
  • Deliver compliance testing, monitoring, and reporting across Claims Operations
  • Implement and manage regulatory change controls
  • Partner with 2nd Line Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams
  • Draft and maintain relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Support incident management and remediation activity
  • Provide training and guidance to embed a strong risk-aware culture
  • Oversee the claims quality assurance program, including data collection, reporting and providing recommendations to the front line business
What we'll love about you
  • Bringing with you an expertise in managing risk within insurance operations (ideally in motor), you will have a deep understanding of the regulatory environment in which NTI operates. Your passion for best practice in risk and compliance management will drive you to influence strong risk and compliance culture within the business. In addition, you will have:
  • Proven experience in risk and compliance within insurance operations, preferably in claims
  • Solid understanding of AFSL obligations, the General Insurance Code of Practice, and risk frameworks
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration with internal assurance teams
  • Ability to interpret and implement regulatory requirements into practical business processes
  • Confident communicator and trainer, with the ability to drive risk culture from the ground up
  • Well-developed analytical skills, strong report writing capability and the ability to clearly articulate recommendations and advice
