Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Rockhampton, QLD, for the Head of Boarding. The Head of Boarding will oversee all aspects of the boarding program, including student welfare, boarding staff management, and daily operations. Responsibilities include creating a safe and supportive environment for boarders, fostering community spirit, ensuring adherence to school policies, and liaising with parents and caregivers. The role requires active participation in school events and effective communication with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Boarding Management, Student Welfare, and Pastoral Care
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of educational environments and student behavioral management
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster a supportive community
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Relevant qualifications in Education, Boarding Management, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
