With a strong focus on teaching, innovation, and clinical governance, it supports a broad catchment and serves as a key training site for medical students and registrars.The RoleAs a Consultant in Palliative Medicine, you will provide expert inpatient, outpatient, and community-based care across Central Queensland.
You will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, helping shape service delivery while supporting and mentoring junior clinicians and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Outreach and telehealth support to other CQ facilities will also be part of the scope.RequirementsYou must be eligible for specialist registration with AHPRA and hold:Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General and/or Palliative Medicine, OREquivalent overseas specialist qualifications (e.g. CCT (UK), CSCST (Ireland), ABIM Board Certification (USA), RCPSC (Canada), or Vocational Registration in NZ)The LocationRockhampton offers an ideal mix of urban amenities and natural beauty - think riverside cafes, weekend markets, and quick getaways to the Great Barrier Reef, Capricorn Coast, or nearby national parks.
