  • Prepare and deliver regular financial and commercial performance reports, offering insights into trends, risks, and opportunities, and support internal and client presentations.
  • Maintain contractual requirements in line with the contract master schedule to ensure compliance and alignment with reporting frameworks.
  • Assist the commercial team with contract variations and renewals, ensuring pricing structures and financial terms meet DTL contract standards.
  • Provide strategic financial and commercial support to improve operational efficiency and ensure alignment with Defence procurement guidelines.
Qualifications and experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field
  • Familiarity with Defence contracting frameworks, including ASDEFCON and Commonwealth procurement policies (desirable)
Skills and requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in a commercial or financial analyst role, ideally within Defence, logistics, or large-scale government contracts, and must be an Australian Citizen eligible for a Defence Security Clearance.
  • Strong financial modelling and analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions, alongside experience in pricing analysis, cost modelling, and forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to build effective relationships across all levels and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve commercial goals.
  • High attention to detail in financial modelling and reporting, strong commercial acumen, and familiarity with Defence contracting frameworks such as ASDEFCON and Commonwealth procurement policies.
