Who are we looking for?

We're seeking a Senior Advisor to join our Risk & Assurance team based in Brisbane, focusing on Risk and Process Safety in the Queensland market.

The Risk & Assurance Management team is a vital part of GHD Business Advisory, addressing our clients' needs across markets, from strategic engagements to operational tasks and throughout project lifecycles.

Joining as a Senior Risk Advisor, you will be part of a team recognized as market leaders in risk management, providing opportunities to advance your career.

The Senior Advisor plays a key role in mentoring Graduates and Advisors.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide innovative risk solutions across various industries and markets
  • Leverage relationships and contribute to business development
  • Perform risk assessments and techniques for clients
  • Undertake technical risk modelling using various software
  • Engage in projects with budget and commercial deliverables
  • Build relationships with clients for repeat business
  • Prepare analysis, recommendations, and presentations
  • Lead and coach team members
  • Provide technical leadership on projects and proposals
  • Facilitate risk workshops

What you will bring:

  • Degree in Engineering or Science related to process safety or similar
  • 5-10 years industry experience in consulting, chemical processing, heavy industry, transport, mining, or regulatory environments
  • Experience in risk, audit, governance, or compliance roles
  • Experience facilitating risk assessment workshops (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL/LOPA, etc.)
  • Experience in risk and consequence modelling
  • Experience developing scopes of work and proposals
  • Training in risk software (preferred: PHAST, SAFETI, @Risk, PHAPro, BowtieXP)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
