Public Sector People are working with a government organisation within Brisbane who are seeking an AO6/7 Senior Risk Advisor on a 3 month contract + extension Temp assignment with the opportunity to go directly with the client afterwards and apply for the permanent position within the Team.

Full Job Description

  • High Profile Government Department | Multiple locations across QLD
  • ASAP START | Attractive pay rates from $76-$86 p/h + Super (PAYG)
  • WFH 2 days a week

This role will be supporting the department's rollout of the risk management & business continuity frameworks along with supporting the leadership team.

Responsibilities Will Include But Not Be Limited To
  • Advise and support the leadership team in matters of risk management, using risk tools, understanding the risk appetite statement and various other related risk documents.
  • Coordinate and deliver specific training and development initiatives designed to strengthen risk management activities.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and review of the organisations risk management framework, policy and process.
  • provide high quality advice to management and staff on contemporary risk management, issues, and trends.
  • Research and analysing complex and sensitive performance and risk management issues in accordance with government procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and staff impacted by risk management activities.

About you:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Risk management
  • 3+ years of experience working within a similar position.
  • Government experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a leadership position, or someone looking to take that next step into a leadership role.
  • Strong attention to detail
