Overview

Senior Consultant II, SCADA/EMS

The future of operational technology hinges on experts who can deliver SCADA and EMS solutions with precision and expertise, with a particular focus on e-Terra software. PSC is seeking a Senior Consultant II to spearhead high-impact projects, drive client success, and provide technical leadership in this rapidly evolving industry, leveraging your deep understanding of this and similar platforms. PSC's SCADA consultants based in New Zealand and Australia help develop and support Energy Management Systems across the region, especially those utilising or considering e-Terra solutions. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor, overseeing complex consulting engagements, nurturing critical client relationships, and mentoring a team of skilled professionals, often involving the implementation and optimisation of these critical OT systems. Collaborating with industry-leading vendors, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of control systems, including advancements related to e-Terra integration and functionality.

Responsibilities
  • Lead high-impact projects and provide technical leadership in SCADA/EMS engagements, focusing on e-Terra solutions.
  • Oversee complex consulting engagements, nurture critical client relationships, and mentor a team of professionals in the implementation and optimisation of OT systems.
  • Collaborate with industry-leading vendors and shape the next generation of control systems related to e-Terra integration and functionality.
Your skills and experience that bring the biggest impact
  • Ability to mentor others by providing technical guidance, sharing industry best practices, and supporting professional development as needed.
  • Hands-on experience with EMS and/or ADMS control system installation, configuration, and integration.
  • Proficiency in EMS and/or ADMS modeling tools, display-building tools, and domain management.
  • Strong knowledge of modern programming and scripting languages.
  • Working understanding and experience of SQL-based RDBMS databases.
  • Bachelor's degree in Power Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or comparable professional experience and capability.
We've got some specific needs that you'll have to meet
  • Minimum 10 years of SCADA or EMS experience.
  • With 5 years of GE e-terra experience.
We'd love you to have
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships while overseeing project delivery, including developing project schedules and ensuring successful execution.
  • Strong working knowledge of EMS vendor systems and applications, preferably GE and Aspentech (OSI), with additional familiarity with Siemens, Schneider, and ABB are also beneficial.
