All Hallows' School, a Catholic Mercy school for girls from Years 5–12, seeks a dynamic and innovative Teacher – Chemistry and Science to join our Science Department, teaching Years 11 and 12 Chemistry and Years 5 to 10 Science.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for an educator dedicated to impactful teaching and learning, who thrives in a collaborative leadership and learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Ensures that All Hallows' School's Mercy values and ethos permeate all aspects of pedagogy, curriculum and academic care.

Demonstrates contemporary understanding of learning and the social/emotional needs of students with a particular passion for girls' education.

Provides academic and pastoral care for all students by Implementing the School's Student Wellbeing Framework and Positive Behaviours Strategy including the application of a Restorative Practices approach to all interactions.

Provides teaching and learning experiences for students that are based on a sound understanding of pedagogy and content knowledge that meet the aims, objectives and outcomes of the Australian Curriculum and the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority syllabuses.

Works collaboratively to plan and organise content into coherent, well-sequenced teaching and learning programs and to develop and use appropriate evaluation and assessment strategies and procedures.

Role requirements

Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.

Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority syllabuses and processes and Australian Curriculum frameworks.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

A commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic education in the Mercy tradition.
