Overview

Our client is a leading Australian alternative asset manager with over $2 billion in AUM. Known for its ability to buy, build and partner for the long term, the firm invests across the capital stack in both structured corporate credit and private equity opportunities. With an emphasis on co-investment, transparency and diversification, the team backs its conviction by investing alongside clients to ensure genuine alignment of interests.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Associate to join the principal investing team at a pivotal time for the business. You will be immersed in the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and evaluating opportunities through to execution and active portfolio management. Early on, you will be involved in a major strategic project for the firm, gaining direct exposure to senior decision-makers and complex transactions. Your day-to-day will range from building sophisticated financial models and valuations, to leading deep commercial analysis, to preparing compelling materials for the Investment Committee and clients.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with two to five years of experience in investment banking, debt advisory, private equity or credit, corporate advisory, consulting, or a related field. You will bring excellent financial modelling and analytical skills, a strong grasp of M&A and leveraged finance, and the confidence to evaluate investments with a critical and commercial eye. Just as importantly, you will be entrepreneurial, curious, and eager to contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced environment where initiative and ownership are rewarded.
