About This Opportunity

Harvey Fresh has an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Fitter or Electrician) to join their Harvey team (140km south of Perth).

Reporting to and supporting the Maintenance Manager, you will play a lead role in servicing and repairing the cooling and heating systems on site. You will also be involved in ensuring processing and packaging activities run smoothly, contributing to the timely delivery of products to schedule and specification. Your responsibilities will include preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, project work, and installations, all performed professionally to add value in a multi-skilled production environment.

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Implementing preventative maintenance programs for cooling & heating systems to ensure efficient service;
  • Monitoring and developing new schedules for equipment and plant, and analyzing data to identify faults and take necessary action;
  • Performing scheduled and ad-hoc safety checks as per instructions;
  • Investigating failures and recommending measures to reduce risks and improve systems and processes;
  • General maintenance within a factory environment, including blow moulding, filling machines, packaging equipment, boilers, and refrigeration systems;
  • Assisting in the induction and training of new staff as required.
To be considered for this position, you will have:
  • A relevant trade qualification (mechanical or electrical);
  • Boiler room and refrigeration experience (essential);
  • Previous experience in the food, dairy, packaging, or process-related industries (advantageous);
  • A true team player with a positive, 'Can Do' attitude.
