Harvey Fresh has an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified
Maintenance Fitter
to join the Harvey team (140km south of Perth).

Reporting and providing support to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a lead role in the servicing and repair of the cooling and heating systems on site. Along with playing a key role in the timely delivery of products to schedule and specification through ensuring processing and packaging activities run smoothly. This will involve conducting preventative maintenance, breakdown maintenance, project work and installations in a professional manner, thus adding value in a multi-skilled production environment.

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Implementing the Preventative Maintenance programs for the cooling & heating systems to ensure efficient services to site;
• Monitor & develop new schedules (where required) for equipment & plant and other relevant data to identify faults and take action as necessary;
• Performing scheduled and ad-hoc safety checks as per instructions;
• Investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems / processes;
• General maintenance within a factory environment, including blowmoulding, filling machines, packaging equipment, boilers and refrigeration systems;
• Assisting in the induction and training of new staff as required.

To be considered for this position, you will have:

• A relevant trade qualification (mechanical or electrical);
• Boiler room and refrigeration experience (highly regarded);
• Previous experience in the food, dairy, packaging or process-related industries would be advantageous;
• True team player, with a positive a Can Do attitude essential.
