Established Trawling company operating in the Australian Fishing Zones is seeking full-time positions in the fishing industry, including Ships Master, Ships Engineer, Master Fisher, Ships Officer, Deckhands & Fishing Hands, and Seafood Processors.
This company maintains a drug & alcohol-free workplace; employees may be subject to random testing as a condition of employment. The role is based in the specified region but may require work in other locations based on operational needs.

Candidates should ideally have at least 5 years of relevant experience for ranked positions. Sea time of less than 5 years may be considered if supported by experience. Holding the appropriate licenses or tickets is mandatory for consideration.
Fishing and DeckhandsMust have a minimum of 1 year's Australian work experience, preferably in catching and handling crab, evidenced by sea-time or logbook. Verifiable references may also be accepted.
All positions require verifiable references. Candidates should be physically strong, as the work involves deck duties in heavy seas and cramped spaces. Ranked positions may include managing fishing operations aboard the vessel in consultation with company owners.
Work involves being away from home for several days or weeks, with short turnaround periods.
Compensation will be negotiated based on qualifications, skills, experience, and performance, and may include a salary or a percentage of the catch rate.
Annual salary ranges for full-time employees are approximately:
- Ship's Master: $120,000+ (negotiable)
- Ships Engineer (Fishing): $78,000 - $98,000
- Master Fisher: $75,000 - $82,000
- Ship's Officer: $72,000 - $82,000
- Deck and Fishing Hands: $68,800 - >$78,000
All roles include government-regulated superannuation.
Seafood ProcessorsWe seek experienced seafood processing workers for full-time and seasonal positions. A minimum of 2 years' experience with verifiable references is preferred.
Typical duties include:
- Unloading seafood from vessels
- Moving seafood to chillers, freezers, and tanks
- Sorting, dressing, and filleting fish with high recovery rates
- Cleaning and grading seafood for size and quality
- Loading seafood into trucks and packing into cartons
- Operating processing machines
- Maintaining equipment and work areas
- Adhering to safety regulations
Salary ranges from $68,800 to over $78,000 annually, plus superannuation, depending on experience.
