About The OpportunityJoining the Mental Health Service at Campbelltown Hospital as a Staff Specialist presents an opportunity to provide expert psychiatric care within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the well-being of a diverse community. About The Adult Mental Health ServicesThe Adult Mental Health Services encompass specialised units dedicated to recovery-focused care, including:
- Mental Health High Dependency Unit (HDU)
- Older People Mental Health Unit
- Civil Rehabilitation Mental Health Unit
Across units, multidisciplinary teams focus on patient-centered care, safety and consumer advocacy to support recovery.
What You'll Be DoingProvide clinical management and treatment of patients in a South Western Sydney Local Health District facility under your care, with clinical privileges granted by the Chief Executive on the advice of the Medical Appointments Advisory Committee.

- Current medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
- Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt to evidence-based practice.
- Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Experience in teaching/training at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, including supervision of junior medical staff.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
- Ability to comply with public health service objectives, including service to the local community, resource utilization, and participation at the LHD level.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rosters.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team.
