Position Overview:

Our Australian Financial Services practice seeks an experienced Director to join our Sydney team. You will work with Australia's leading banks, superannuation funds, asset managers, and insurers to develop their internal climate and sustainability functions, helping them meet upcoming disclosure requirements.

Role: Director – Financial Services – Climate & SustainabilityWhat you will be doing

In the evolving landscape of climate and sustainability, you will assist clients in understanding obligations, developing capabilities, and crafting strategies to stay ahead of regulations. Your projects may include:

  • Leading Sustainability Transformation Programs: Developing and implementing comprehensive programs to align clients' sustainability practices with regulations and industry standards.
  • Managing Climate Risks and Opportunities: Identifying, assessing, and managing climate-related risks and opportunities, including scenario analysis and integration into strategic planning.
  • Integrating Climate into Business Strategy: Embedding climate considerations into core strategies, supporting net-zero targets and emissions reduction aligned with global agreements.
  • Enhancing Reporting: Identifying key sustainability issues, guiding transparent and compliant disclosures, and meeting emerging standards.

Additionally, you will:

  • Develop Go-to-Market Strategies: Creating propositions aligned with industry trends.
  • Enhance Market Presence: Increasing visibility of our capabilities.
  • Contribute to Thought Leadership: Developing innovative insights.
  • Lead Business Development: Identifying new opportunities and expanding networks.
Your Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Senior-level consulting experience, preferably within financial services or sustainability divisions.
  • Proven track record of shaping, directing, and delivering projects at the director level.
  • Expertise in your specialization, with a passion for coaching and sharing knowledge.

Additional:

  • 10+ years of experience, with significant focus on sustainability.
  • Experience in organizational change projects within management consulting or internal change functions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Curiosity, active listening, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with coaching experience.
