Breakthru is delivering the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program across key regions in New South Wales and Queensland, selected by the Department of Social Services. As the Team Leader for the Lower Hunter Employment Service Area (ESA), you'll guide and support the team to deliver person-centered support, help clients build confidence and skills, and secure meaningful, sustainable work. You'll work closely with employers to strengthen partnerships and promote inclusive hiring practices. This role focuses on coaching your team to achieve outcomes, driving performance, and making a genuine difference in people's lives.
Key Responsibilities- Mentor and support a high-performing team under the guidance of the ESA's Service Manager, driving results and fostering growth.
- Develop your team to deepen understanding of best practice when working with people with disability, injury, or health conditions.
- Translate program guidelines into high-quality, compliant service delivery that meets quality and performance targets.
- Guide clients into meaningful work through trust, empathy, and personalised support.
- Build strong employer partnerships and promote inclusive hiring practices.
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and lead by example.
- Champion Breakthru's values of inclusion, empowerment, and person-centred practice.
- You are a confident leader with a passion for mentoring others and driving performance, creating a supportive and results-driven environment.
- You have a strong understanding of employment services and program guidelines, and you mentor others to provide high-quality service that meets performance targets.
- You build genuine relationships with your team, clients, and employers, guiding individuals into meaningful work through empathy and tailored support.
- You are proactive, organised, and lead by example, committed to inclusion and person-centred practice.
- Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g., Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work) – desirable
- Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions
- Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans
- Confidence in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends
- Current Driver's License – essential
