Birthday Party Attendant | YMCA Victoria Point

Are you energetic, friendly, and great with kids (or adults)?

YMCA Victoria Point are looking for a Casual (Saturdays and Sundays) Birthday Party Attendant to help make every celebration unforgettable

About the role

As a Birthday Party Attendant you will be responsible for assisting the birthday family with set up; helping to facilitate party activities/ games ensuring the birthday child and their guests all enjoy and participate in the party games; assisting family with party routines such as food, presents, transitions from one part of the party to the next; efficient and organized set up and break down of all party games and equipment.

What will my time look like?

  • Greet and assist guests with a smile
  • Set up and decorate the party area
  • Lead games and activities
  • Serve food, cake, and drinks
  • Handle cleanup and ensure the venue stays safe and fun
  • Be the go-to helper for the party host and guests

Am I a good match?

  • Loves working with people (especially children)
  • Is upbeat, responsible, and professional
  • Has great communication and problem-solving skills
  • Can work weekends and flexible hours
  • Currently possess, or be willing to obtain, a positive notice Blue Card in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 and a National Police Check
  • Current certification for First Aid, CPR, Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis Management, or willingness to obtain
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours as determined by business requirements
  • Achievement of YMCA's Safeguarding Children Training Certificate and complete annual refresher training
