Sharp & Carter are partnering with a Tier One business in the Oil & Gas sector seeking a skilled Senior Corporate Accountant for a broad-based role supporting the finance function during a busy period, this role has the potential to become permanent after the initial 6 month fixed term period.

About the Role:

This is a varied and collaborative position where you will play a key part in day-to-day financial operations and reporting. Responsibilities will span across:

  • General ledger maintenance and reconciliations
  • Month-end close and preparation of financial reports
  • Budgeting, forecasting & variance analysis
  • Assistance with project accounting and cost tracking
  • Support with audit and compliance obligations
  • Ad hoc analysis and process improvement initiatives
Your Profile

We are looking for someone who brings a flexible and proactive mindset. Ideally, you will have:
  • You must be able to start within 1 week
  • A solid foundation in financial and management accounting
  • Experience in a similar broad accounting role
  • Previous exposure to the Oil & Gas or resources sector
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • CA / CPA Qualification is essential
  • 5-7 Years Commercial Experience.
  • A collaborative approach and ability to hit the ground running
