Job SummaryThe HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resource management, including workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws. This role requires a strategic thinker who can implement HR best practices while ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute workforce planning, recruitment, and retention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, workplace safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide leadership in conflict resolution, mediation, performance management, and disciplinary procedures.
- Design and implement employee training and development programs to enhance skills and performance.
- Oversee performance management systems, coaching managers to develop high-performing teams.
- Conduct risk assessments, workplace audits, and enforce workplace health and safety (WHS) policies.
- Maintain accurate HR records, manage payroll, and oversee benefits administration.
- Facilitate communication between HR, finance, and operational teams to align business objectives.
- Develop policies and initiatives to enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.
- Minimum HR management experience, preferably in transport, logistics, or heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment laws and workplace safety regulations.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage both strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day HR operations.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
