Overview

Workplace Assessor | Community Service/Mental Health — Australian Learning Group (ALG)

ALG is a registered training organisation that has been offering high-quality vocational education and training in the fields of Health and Community Services for over 15 years. We are seeking Workplace Assessors in community service and mental health to join our team in Melbourne for Term 4 (13 October to 19 December). The role involves four hours per student visit and may lead to a trainer and assessor opportunity for the right applicant.

Responsibilities
  • Support students during their work placement terms and liaise with the student, host organisation and ALG
  • Conduct workplace visits whilst the students are on placement
  • Monitor, conduct, and mark student assessments in the workplace
Qualifications And Experience
  • Current experience in the Mental Health and Community Service industries (preferably 3+ years)
  • A relevant vocational qualification at the Degree or Diploma level
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current Police Check
  • Own transport
  • Medical certificate or document of flu vaccination (if a host organisation requires it)
  • Experience in teaching or training is desirable but not essential
