As a Workplace Assessor, you play a crucial role in supporting learners in their journey towards acquiring qualifications.

Swinburne Open Education partners with UP Education to deliver high-quality online courses that equip students for success in a rapidly changing workforce.

Our contractor pool seeks experienced Early Childhood Education professionals to conduct Structured Workplace Learning and Assessment visits for our students. You will visit learners in their workplace, observe and assess practical skills, ensuring competency standards are met. This requires effective communication with workplace supervisors to verify learner abilities and provide feedback for success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Visiting learners in their workplace to assess skills and competencies
  • Observing and verifying tasks completed to required standards
  • Communicating with workplace supervisors to confirm student performance
  • Completing and submitting assessment documentation in a timely manner

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Relevant Early Childhood Education qualifications (minimum Certificate IV, Diploma preferred)
  • Current vocational competence and industry currency in Early Childhood Education
  • Assessing experience or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
  • Ability to travel locally to workplaces for assessment visits
