The People and Capability Advisory team is a central hub of HR professionals providing advice and support across Kmart and Target stores, offices, and distribution centres. We are a highly engaged team utilizing phone and email channels to deliver meaningful interactions and impactful solutions to our stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior P&C Advisor - Employee Relations and Advisory Services, you will:

  • Provide expert HR advice to support our people leaders on conduct, performance, and complex case matters.
  • Manage Fair Work Australia and other applications, including advocacy.
  • Navigate various HR industrial tools to confidently make decisions and resolve cases for stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop People & Capability Advisors within the team.
  • Participate in team projects and leverage knowledge for continuous learning.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Proven senior experience managing complex HR matters from start to resolution.
  • Extensive generalist HR experience with strong ER/IR exposure, especially regarding conduct, performance, and non-work injuries.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Experience coaching managers and team members on HR policies and tools.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, negotiation, influencing, coaching, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize workload effectively.
  • A pragmatic approach to problem-solving, navigating grey areas to achieve solutions.
