Operational Risk Manager/Senior Manager - Financial Markets

Join our dynamic and growing Commodities and Global Markets Group as an Operational Risk Manager / Senior Manager. Our team consists of Operational Risk specialists who support our business globally on complex trading risks to ensure that key operational risks are effectively managed and monitored.

In-office attendance is required for this role 3-4 days per week.

This role is a 12-month maximum term contract.

What role will you play?

You will leverage your expertise in Financial Markets to deliver strategic advice on managing end-to-end risks and enhancing the control environment. You will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including trading desks and support teams, to foster a robust operational risk culture and drive continuous improvement in processes and controls across the business. Your responsibilities include supporting the articulation of risk issues and controls, evaluating risks in new products and initiatives, investigating incidents to identify root causes, and testing the effectiveness of controls.

What you offer
  • 5+ years of experience in Non-Financial Risk Management or Assurance supporting a Financial Markets business
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence at multiple levels
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to interpret and balance commercial issues within a risk framework
