AIM Therapy is expanding We are excited to include Positive Behaviour Support in our services.

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner at the Proficient or Advanced level to provide positive behaviour support services.

On a daily basis, you will:

  • Assist NDIS participants and their families or carers to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based support plans within a complex support environment.
  • Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community.
  • Ensure individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions, and strengths.
  • Build the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those supporting participants—families, carers, friends, etc.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.

About you

  • Current suitability at Proficient or Advanced level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner is essential
  • Experience supporting people with behaviours of concern (professionally or personally) is essential
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
