Gladstone – Disability Youth Worker

Kanda is looking for passionate team members to provide outreach support to children and young people by:
- Providing compassionate and person-centred support to young people with diverse needs and abilities.
- Fostering a safe and nurturing environment contributing to growth and development.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create tailored support plans and interventions.
- Empowering individuals to build essential life skills and promote independence.
- Using daily routines to provide hands-on training for life skills such as cooking, personal care, and budgeting.

Requirements:
- Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness and eligibility to obtain prior to commencement.
- Availability to work across a full shift pattern (mornings, evenings, and sleepovers).
- Valid Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle.
- Attained or working towards a relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Certificate IV (Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.).
- Experience working with young people/children.
- Experience working in other support work-related fields, i.e., disability, mental health, aged care, and childcare.
