Overview

Join to apply for the Sample Machinist role at Forever New Clothing. This is a part-time contract position within the Sample Room on a 3-month basis, working with Pattern Makers, Designers, QA and Buying to create high-quality samples that reflect Forever New's fit, craftsmanship, and style standards.

Responsibilities
  • Construct 1.5-2 complete, high-quality garments per day
  • Collaborate with Pattern Makers to resolve construction challenges
  • Support the sample cutter to ensure seamless workflow
  • Label all samples clearly with style details, dates, and fabric info
  • Ensure all samples align with critical path deadlines
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Suggest sewing improvements and provide feedback to enhance garment construction
Qualifications
  • Qualification in Garment Construction or equivalent fashion industry experience
  • 3–5 years' experience as a Sample Machinist
  • Solid knowledge of garment construction and pattern interpretation
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • A collaborative, proactive and can-do attitude
  • Passion for fashion and pride in craftsmanship
