Job Description
We're looking for a driven and passionate Deputy Sales Manager to join our high-performing Townsville team and help shape the future of media sales.
About the Role
As Deputy Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for achieving and exceeding television and digital advertising sales targets. Based in Townsville and reporting to the Sales Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of existing clients and actively acquiring new business.
- Meeting monthly, quarterly, and six-monthly sales budgets across TV and digital platforms.
- Driving annual revenue growth for the Townsville market.
- Supporting a high-performance team culture aligned with Seven's core values and a #BetterTogether mindset.
- Representing Seven professionally in all internal and external communications.
- Delivering accurate and timely reporting, including weekly revenue tracking and quarterly forecasting.
- Taking ownership of sales results and contributing to the success of the Townsville office.
About You / Qualifications
- You're a confident and experienced sales professional with a strong client-first approach and a passion for delivering results. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a knack for negotiation, and bring a strategic mindset to relationship building and revenue growth.
You'll Bring
- Excellent communication skills - persuasive, clear, and professional both written and verbal.
- A proven track record of managing multiple clients and meeting sales targets.
- Proven experience in negotiating successful outcomes by understanding client needs and delivering creative, tailored solutions.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with Sales Force and industry software (desirable).
- Previous experience in a media sales management role (highly regarded).
- A strong team player who's also confident in stepping up and taking the lead when needed.
