What You'll Be Doing

The Telecommunications System Support Officer (TSSO) is responsible for providing telecommunications technical support and direction for an extensive and complex network and collaborative telecommunications environment for Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) and Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) to ensure delivery of a high quality service consistent with the specific needs and strategic objectives of SNSWLHD and MLHD.

Selection Criteria
  • A degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco / Aruba networking infrastructure covering both Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) highly desirable.
  • Knowledge in Cisco Call Manager/ administration an advantage.
  • Evidence and duration of expertise through education, training and work experience in network and/or collaboration technologies. Demonstrate breadth of experience, depth of knowledge and ability through interpersonal skills to apply that knowledge.
  • Experience in development of internal innovation, business case compilation and project development with a specific focus on requirements gathering, analysis and design within the telecommunications field.
  • Experience in an operational and project environment regarding implementation, testing and quality assurance.
  • Experience in support and maintenance against agreed service levels across a complex geographically diverse team, and experience in reporting against these service levels and project progress.
  • Experience in writing or contributing to policy, procedures and local ICT standards.
  • Knowledge and experience of procedures relating to change, incident and problem management within an environment comparable to NSW Health.
  • Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
