About The InitiativeThe Small Group Tuition initiative aims to strengthen the literacy and/or numeracy skills of students identified as requiring additional support.
About The RoleAs a School Group Tuition teacher, your primary responsibility is to plan and deliver evidence-based literacy and/or numeracy interventions aligned with whole-school approaches that address the specific learning support needs of the identified students. Undertaking this role presents an opportunity to apply extensive knowledge and experience to provide evidence-based instructional interventions aligned to the WA Curriculum.
In addition, you will:
- Use data to diagnose the specific literacy and/or numeracy needs of identified students.
- Ensure the pre-conditions required for the identified students to successfully engage in Small Group Tuition are in place
- Implement the teaching and learning assessment cycle (plan, teach, monitor, and assess) for each group of students, aligned with the WA Curriculum and reflective of the existing classroom program.

EligibilityTo work with us, you must:
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
