About the roles

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred active support to people living with disabilities. The specific assistance required will vary based on each client's needs, but a typical day may include:

  • Supporting participants with complex needs and in all aspects of daily life, including acquired brain injury, mealtime management, enteral feeding (PEG), mental health, manual handling, and personal care.
  • Facilitating community access and participation, supporting clients to engage confidently in community events.
  • Managing complex behaviours through mental health care plans, ABI, and behaviour support plans.
  • Providing support during weekday and weekend shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Skills & Experience

  • Current unrestricted driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to transport clients in your own vehicle, which must have at least Third Party insurance.
  • Experience or education in Disability or Mental Health is highly regarded.
  • Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals of people with disabilities.
  • Proficiency in using basic technology and software on mobile devices and desktops.
