Distribution Systems Coordinator

Salary Range – $130,000-$140,000 (base) + Overtime

An exciting opportunity exists in the Network Operations team for a Distribution Systems Coordinator.

Located at Lenah Valley in Hobart's Northern Suburbs, this role will ensure that all work within their designation is coordinated in the most efficient, commercial, and safe manner.

This is an office-based role that will provide approvals to Network Access Orders, ensuring correct isolation points are selected and impacted customers are notified as per the National Electricity Consumer Forum (NECF) guidelines prior to safely accessing TasNetworks Distribution System for planned outages. This role will progressively support the 24/7 Distribution Control Room after successful completion of necessary training and authorizations.

You will monitor, coordinate, and plan the most efficient and safe delivery methods, focusing on eliminating any NECF (Type 1 and Type 3) breaches to customers, and confirming all isolation points ensure the safety of employees, contractors, members of the public, and equipment.

To comply with all relevant legislation, laws, regulations, standards, codes, and TasNetworks' policies and procedures to provide safe and secure network access for planned capital and operational work within TasNetworks' distribution system.

Anticipate and respond to distribution system user requirements, identify system deficiencies, and have advanced knowledge of power system safety rules.

• A-grade Electrical Trade qualifications or equivalent
• Current or recent experience in high-level operation of a power distribution system
• Electrical practitioners' qualification and/or a minimum of five years' experience in mobile workforce scheduling and coordination
• Demonstrated high-level knowledge of Geospatial (GIS) tools (e.g., NetMaps), SCADA, Microsoft Office, SAP
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment
