Overview

You will be involved in technical work across major Australian renewable energy projects with a focus on BESS, Solar and Wind. This role will give you the scope to influence project direction from early-stage development through to delivery, while keeping you closely involved in the engineering details. It is a chance to work on complex, high-value projects without being lost in layers of bureaucracy.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will work alongside Project Managers, contractors and other Subject Matter Experts. You will lead the technical side, scoping, reviewing and guiding HV and primary engineering designs while others focus more on project management. The role needs someone comfortable solving big-picture technical challenges with limited early-stage information.

Duties
  • Scope and review technical specifications and HV/primary designs
  • Address engineering issues in early project development phases
  • Manage technical interfaces with contractors and stakeholders
  • Provide technical leadership across BESS, Solar and Wind projects
Skills/experience
  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years' experience in large-scale Australian renewable energy projects
  • Blend of contractor management and hands-on engineering and design experience
  • Hybrid working arrangements
