About the role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic indoor football coordinator to oversee our indoor football competition at Y Leisure City, Epping. This is a newly created role ideal for someone with strong game knowledge and leadership qualities — perfect for an emerging leader who can stay calm under pressure, build strong relationships, and ensure every game night is enjoyable for players and spectators alike.

As our Indoor Football Coordinator, you will support the delivery of a high-quality football program across all groups and divisions. Under the guidance of the Sports Director, you will assist with the coordination and logistics of the indoor football program, oversee game nights, mentor umpires, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all participants.

Key duties include:

  • Managing Indoor Football on Monday and Wednesday nights.
  • Supervising games and umpire performance.
  • Setting up and packing up on sports nights.
  • Communicating effectively with teams and spectators.
  • Handling participant conflicts professionally.
  • Implementing and updating rules as needed.

This casual role requires availability on Monday and Wednesday nights from 7 pm onwards to support our football competitions.

What we hope you bring:

  • Legal right to live and work in Australia.
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • International Police Check if you have lived outside Australia in the last 5 years.
  • A passion for football, with experience umpiring or coaching. Experience coordinating football or similar sports is preferred.
  • A fun, positive, and supportive attitude.
  • Availability on Monday and Wednesday nights.
  • Ability to work with patrons of all ages, cultures, and abilities.
