Workshop Support Coordinator - Trade Background Advantageous

Location: Blacktown, NSW, AU, 2148

Position Type: Professional

Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future? If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.

What you will do

Do you have a background in mechanics, trades, or workshop operations and want to stay involved without being on the tools full-time?

We're currently seeking a Workshop Support Coordinator (internally known as Facilities Maintenance Coordinator) to join our Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) team in Blacktown. In this role, you\'ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our warranty parts process while supporting the wider workshop team with cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and general warehousing support.

This hands-on support role is ideal for someone who wants to stay active in a workshop environment, applying their mechanical knowledge in a lighter, support-focused position. You\'ll be helping with warranty parts, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and assisting with general workshop and yard duties — all without the demands of full-time mechanical work.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Daily registering and tagging of all warranty parts for return or disposal
  • Maintaining a well-organised and compliant warranty parts store
  • Cleaning and upkeep of workshop equipment, walkways, and communal areas to meet OHS standards
  • Supporting pre-delivery and workshop operations with general warehousing and yard duties
  • Reporting defects and damage around the workshop area
  • Maintaining accurate records in line with VGA and VCVA standards
  • Participating in recycling and environmental initiatives
  • Contributing to a safe, clean, and efficient workplace

Your future team

You'll be part of a tight-knit, supportive team that values collaboration, cleanliness, and a proactive attitude. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you'll also work closely with parts interpreters, technicians, and the warranty administration team.

Who are you?

You're practical, hands-on, and thrive in a busy workshop setting. You'll bring:

  • High school certificate (minimum); relevant tertiary or trade qualifications are a bonus
  • Experience with workshop tooling, including their use and identification
  • Basic computer skills
  • Understanding of machinery and workshop safety practices
  • Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset
  • HR truck and/or forklift licence (desirable)
  • A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to support wherever needed
What's in it for you?

We offer a solid package of compensation and benefits, plus you will enjoy:

  • Permanent, full-time role
  • Clean and modern workshop facilities
  • Generous parental leave program
  • Access to Sonder – our Employee Assistance Program for you and your family
  • Work with one of the most respected names in global transport
Ready for the next move?

If you're excited by the idea of supporting a high-performing workshop environment and playing a key role in keeping our operations efficient, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and help drive the future of sustainable transport.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo appropriate background and reference checks.
