Job DescriptionPosition/Qualifications:
• Degree or diploma in Recreation/Leisure Studies or Gerontology is required.
• One to three years' experience working with the elderly is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of the aging process and its implications in a long-term care setting, relating to social, physical, spiritual, and emotional needs.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, initiative, and innovative skills to create or adapt programs to meet the needs of the elderly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Must meet job demands physically and cognitively.
