Role Summary

The Mechanical and Piping Lead oversees the design, compliance, and delivery of mechanical and piping systems for tailings infrastructure in a large-scale mining project. The role ensures technical integrity, supports contract and cost evaluations, manages engineering resources, and facilitates coordination across stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure design compliance with project and regulatory standards.
  • Review and approve engineering deliverables and plans.
  • Support contract scope development and technical evaluations.
  • Monitor progress, cost, and change control.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Promote safety and technical excellence.
  • Oversee audits and hazard reviews.

Requirements

  • Engineering Degreein Mechanical or related discipline.
  • Extensive experiencein piping and mechanical systems, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
  • Strong understanding ofdesign standards, HSE regulations, and project execution.
  • Proven ability to managemulti-disciplinary teamsand complex engineering packages.
  • Excellentcommunication, coordination, and problem-solvingskills.
